Safeguarding

At STFCH, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are fully committed to ensuring the safety, protection, and well-being of all our pupils, recognising that children with special educational needs and disabilities may be particularly vulnerable.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is our headteacher, Miss Katy Stringer, and our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSLs) are:

  • Mr Shaun Jukes - Co-Headteacher
  • Mrs Karen Brown - Head of Lower School
  • Ms Charlotte Pilkington - Head of SFX
  • Mr Lee Toulson - Head of Upper School

All staff are trained to identify and respond to concerns promptly and sensitively, and we work closely with families, external agencies, and the local authority to maintain a safe and nurturing environment. Our safeguarding procedures are guided by statutory requirements, including Keeping Children Safe in Education, and are tailored to meet the unique needs of our pupils. Every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and heard—and we are dedicated to making that a reality every day.
